Explained: President Trump’s Nobel Peace Prize Nominations

Posted by Justin on

Did you know that Pres. Trump has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize not just once, but four times?

Liberal media pundits would rather you not pay attention to this – they say that Trump is a dictator and warmonger, even though those claims are factually false.

Let’s break down everything you need to know about Pres. Trump’s Nobel Peace Prize nominations.

The First Nomination

Pres. Trump was first nominated in 2018 for the Nobel Peace Prize by Norwegian politician Christian Tybring-Gjedde – incidentally, this is also the individual who has recently nominated Trump for the second time.

Trump was recommended for this first nomination since he had put a lot of effort toward reconciling both North and South Korea.

Trump personally went to North Korea to meet with Kim Jong-un, the dictator of North Korea.

While peace was not fully achieved, Pres. Trump's meeting likely cooled off hostilities and allowed both countries to return to some semblance of diplomatic normalcy.

It also neutralized the threat of North Korean military action.

The Second Nomination

The newest Nobel Peace Prize nomination occurred just this year, and because of Pres. Trump’s recent efforts to help Israel and the United Arab Emirates reach a peace deal to help normalize their relations.

Thanks to Trump and his efforts, Israel agreed to suspend certain controversial plans that would have seen them annex the West Bank, which would have undoubtedly caused more violence.

This has significantly cooled off relations in the area and saved many lives on both sides of the conflict.

Indeed, even Palestinian leaders were caught off guard by the agreement, and it’s likely that Trump was the one who finally got Israel to relax and start working toward diplomacy instead of more violence.

Did Trump Win?

Alas, our president didn’t win either of the two Nobel Peace Prizes he was nominated for.

But that’s ultimately not as important as getting nominated.

Lots of people get nominated for awards all the time – there’s a reason movie trailers always emphasize "Oscar award-nominated" actors and actresses even if they didn't win.

It’s still a great honor if you are nominated for any type of Nobel Prize in any field, and it just goes to show how Pres. Trump really is the peacemaker we’ve always said he is.

The media can’t change the facts, and it’s likely only a matter of time until Pres. Trump is nominated for another Nobel Peace Prize.

Fortunately, there will be lots of time for him to accomplish this with his second term once he is officially re-elected as president of the United States.
