If current events have taught us anything, it's that the next big disaster – even the end of the world as we know it – could be right on our doorstep.
That’s why it’s important for smart patriots to model some of our behaviors after preppers, who are readier than most for the $#!t to hit the fan!
Let’s break down 7 of the smartest daily habits preppers practice, so you too can be prepared for anything:
Most preppers are fitness fanatics, and for good reason. You need to be able to rely on your body's abilities to get out of a dangerous situation in a hurry.
Do at least some cardio exercise every day so you're fit enough to be prepared and healthy enough to endure limited access to medical assistance.
6. Keep Your Gas Tank Full
Additionally, be sure to fill up your gas tank at least half full, and keep it there at all times. You never know when you might need to get out of dodge.
5. Get Your News from Several Sources
Doing your own research is the best way to stay informed and to be aware of potential global or local events that could affect your survival chances and way of life. Don't forget, recent times have taught us that it's important to get your information from multiple sources, trust your instincts, and be especially wary of the mainstream media.
Consume your news from multiple alternate Internet sources so you have a diverse and complete picture of what's going on around the world and in your home state.
4. Keep Your Bug-Out Bag Ready
Every smart patriot needs a bug-out bag with food, medical, and basic survival supplies. Make one and keep it ready at all times.
Keep your bug-out bag in a location where you can quickly grab it and throw it into your car if need be, and let your family know where it is in case they need to bring it to you.

3. Keep Electronics Charged
Your electronics should be charged at all times. Odds are that, in a situation where you need to leverage your prepper habits, you won’t have the time or convenience to charge your phone, portable batteries, radio, and anything else.
If that stuff is already charged, it’s one less thing you need to worry about.
2. Keep Cash on Hand
Credit cards will likely be useless in any hypothetical end of the world scenario. To that end, good old-fashioned American cash is your only option. Keep plenty of it in your bug-out bag, your wallet, and hidden places in your house.
You might also want to invest in actual gold and silver, which may end up being more valuable than cash if the government goes down.
1. Practice Situational Awareness
Lastly, be sure to practice your situational awareness every day. This is a key skill that can help to get you out of a tight spot when you need to rely on your wits and and instincts to lead you.
Situational awareness is simply the technique of noticing things in your environment and preparing responses to them as you move through the world. With situational awareness, you’ll be ready for anything, even random events or violence.
Master these 7 daily habits and you’ll become as ready and focused as the best preppers. You’ll be more than capable of protecting yourself and your family, and resilient as ever.
And above all else, remember that patriots are resilient, principled, and brave to the core. Whatever the situation, we are not alone.
Thank you for reading, stay strong patriots.
